First off, an apology. For the loooongest time this page has said nothing but “Update Coming Soon.” Well, that turned out to be a bunch of crap—or at the very least a very liberal definition of “coming soon.” Let’s just say it’s a good thing I don’t drive an ambulance for a living.

Anyway, without further delay, here’s what the near future holds...

September 10th, 2007
sees the release of my second collaboration with James Patterson. It’s called “You’ve Been Warned.” The synopsis is plastered all over the Internet so I won’t dwell on it here. What I will say is that I like it for many reasons, not the least of which is that I know there will be plenty of people who don’t “get it.” The novel is indeed a departure for Patterson, delving into questions about sin, judgment, forgiveness and damnation. The really interesting part for me (and hopefully many others) is that instead of trying to supply all the answers, the novel lets readers come up with a few of their own. One tip: “God is in the details.”

On Wednesday, November 14, 2007 @ 7:30 pm, I’ll be doing an author talk at the Westport Library in Westport, CT. In addition to discussing my collaborations with James Patterson and my solo novels, I’ll be sharing some of the things I’ve learned about the all-important question (to aspiring writers, at least): “How do I get published?”

The Up and Comer movie...The Grateful Dead said it best, “What a long, strange trip it’s been...” This project has lived, died, and been reborn only to die again numerous times. It’s currently living and in the hands of some very capable producers. We’ll continue to wait and see.

Future Books? A third collaboration with James Patterson has recently been completed. No official title or a release date yet but I’ll let you know when it’s ready to set sail. There’s also another solo novel in the works. Good thing because there’s a woman in Arkansas who emailed me recently to say that if I don’t hurry up and write it she’ll “pull a Misery on me.” Now that’s what I call a fan...
